Age rules — authored policy, per jurisdiction
ENGINE — moderation/age (MAV-owned map, 2026-08-09): one system across Folo and FG (founder, round 3) — FG mounts it as its Compliance→Age-rules tab today; Folo’s /admin/age-rules is the live seed and the richer table. This is authored policy, not a live DB fact — the operator-maintained source of truth the age-gate reads. Folo’s SFW invariant is a product policy layered on top, not part of this engine. Scope split: the RULE SET is common — ONE policy table, engine-owned, no per-platform copy; ENFORCEMENT is per-platform — each product’s gate reads the table and applies its own surface rules on top. folo.link answer: this page COMPOSES the shared policy table; it changes nothing directly except the audited Edit, which writes that one table.

Thirty jurisdictions, each with its statute, its user count and an audited edit — the operator-maintained truth the age-gate enforces.

Jurisdiction table
Each row names its rule basis (statute + regulator), the users covered by that jurisdiction and when the row was last touched. Edit is an audited action — admin + reason + timestamp; the gate reads the table live, so an edit is policy within minutes. Where legislation is pending the row says Under review and the gate keeps the previous rule — never a guess. Write path: Edit writes the SHARED policy table (engine-owned) — each platform’s gate reads it; there is no per-platform copy to drift. Who may edit: admins holding the compliance role only — every edit records admin + reason. Effect: the new rule is what every platform’s gate enforces within minutes (gate cache); Folo’s open feed stays SFW regardless — that invariant is Folo product policy above this table.

SCOPE · rule set = COMMON (one engine-owned table) · enforcement = PER-PLATFORM (each gate reads it: Folo 18+ surfaces · FG all surfaces · Receipt no gate — no age-restricted content) · WRITE PATH · Edit = audited write to the shared table, compliance-role admins only · EFFECT · policy within minutes on every gate

Authored policy, not a DB fact. The gate enforces what this table says; the table says what an operator (with an audited edit) decided the law requires. Demo — edits record intent only, nothing mutates a real record yet.

AI legal-change monitor Idle
The watch-the-world seed for this table: an agent that reads regulator feeds and proposes row edits (never applies them — an operator confirms with the audited Edit). Idle today: no legal-change agent is connected yet. Stated honestly rather than pretending to watch.

Folo’s SFW invariant sits above this table as product policy — Folo’s open feed stays SFW regardless of jurisdiction; the gate below governs 18+ surfaces only. One engine, two products, one extra Folo rule.
Enforced by — one rule set, each platform’s gate reads it; Receipt’s dot is off because there is nothing to gate, not because it opted out.
